Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Pressure Sensors (EVPS)
Description: Monitors exhaust system pressure by sending varying voltages to the onboard computer. The onboard computer uses this input and information from the other sensors to determine the correct amount of exhaust gas to properly control emissions.
Symptoms of Failure:
- Engine Detonation
- Surging
- Poor Idle Conditions
- Check Engine Light
Recommended Service: Check for proper operation with each tune-up. Replace when trouble codes indicate failure.
